tired and bored

Jeff passed by, flanked by two girls I never knew, groupies of the lowest order, I could only suppose. In synch with Jeff, they seemed to be clinging to the attention he sought, uninterested in his performance or more than his style drew attention to their being beside him, tired and bored, hoping something would happen, more than what could happen in this lonely north Texas bar.
