I have been routinely – eight times a day – reposting my complete collection of short stories. Some of them are brilliant, I think and some of them are rubbish, mere exercises to practice a perspective. I wouldn’t be bothering everyone with what I consider subpar narrative but I’ve also learned that I am a poor judge of my writing when it comes to the crowd. People love stories I don’t care for and they routinely ignore my favorites. Audiences.

So I’m taking a statistical approach to my writing. I’m publishing my stories in various outlets in a random but thorough fashion. I am charting the responses. Now I am starting to know which stories people like.

So my plan, when I have plenty of data to work with, is to create an anthology of short story collections using the favorite stories. I intend to take the top six stories, more or less, determine other popular stories that share some theme with those stories, publish six short collections, titled by their common theme. Then I will bundle the six collections into a collection, thirty six stories bound by themes that are bound by a theme.

I love it. Keep reading the stories and let me know which ones you like. I need to know.
